My Story

I’ve been on a healing journey for over twenty years.

I spent most of my life living in a state of PTSD as a result of childhood trauma. I thought the way I felt and the dysfunctional behavior I had was just me. It wasn’t. It was me living out of my stress responses and being disconnected from my true self as a result of the traumatic experiences. I felt something was inherently wrong with me and I longed to simply feel “ok”. The need to be loved controlled me and led me to make unconscious decisions, which led to more pain for myself and others.

I now know that there was nothing wrong with me and what I needed was healing. I needed to learn how to love, care for myself, and reconnect with myself. Having the courage to step onto a healing path was scary, but it has been the most important decision of my life. Over time and putting in a lot of work, I found a place of inner peace, empowerment, and wholeness within myself that I didn’t know was possible.

I’m on a meaningful mission.

I want everyone to have the opportunity to heal and connect to who they really are. This is what has inspired me to grow professionally and continue to cultivate as many healing tools as I can to help people. Since beginning my healing arts practice in 2005, I’ve continued to hone my skills and develop the expertise necessary to provide this kind of unique specialized support.

A little bit more about me:

I get how stressful and overwhelming life can be, and I know a thing or two about stress management and caring for ourselves amidst the demands of life and the complexity of relationships.

I’m a wife, mom, stepmom, daughter, sister, friend, caregiver, community member, and survivor turned thriver. I am a heart-centered, grounded, empowered, intuitive woman who dives deeply into her inner work and empowers and guides others to do the same.

I have a growth mindset and believe we are here to learn and grow from our life experiences. Having said that, I also understand that in some instances, and in the case of trauma or a big loss, this mindset is bullshit, and we just have to survive whatever life has brought and do our best to move through it. It is okay to be where we are with it, whatever it is.

Our ability to love, accept, and be compassionate with ourselves and stop judging ourselves is paramount and key to our healing, happiness, freedom, and ultimately, our ability to enjoy life.

Self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and nervous system regulation are skills that can help us achieve this and are at the heart of my work.

What to Know about Working with Me.

I serve a unique niche within the counseling space.

Typically, there are two approaches available to people seeking counseling; traditional mental health counseling or Christian counseling. The people I serve are looking for something different from either one of these things.

Holistic Spiritual Counseling is a Mind-Body-Spirit Approach.

People often come to me because they feel they need something more; a mentor or a guide who understands and supports the holistic approach to healing.

Whatever your reason is, know you are welcome here!

I am an ordained minister. My ordainment is non-denominational and interfaith, which means I am not affiliated with a religion and can work with anyone, regardless of their beliefs. I am not a licensed mental health professional and do not offer mental health services.

My work is spiritual, not religious, and is inclusive to people from all walks of life.
